7ah 12v Alarm Battery Rechargeable Sealed Lead Acid Battery
Features:
- Sealed Maintenance Free
Valve regulated, spill proof construction allows trouble free, safe operation in any position, except continuous use in the inverted position. The sealed system eliminates electrolyte checking and water addition. The gases generated are recombined internally during normal use.
- Shelf Life and Storage
Special vents, high purity lead and grid alloys assure a low self-discharge rate and consequently a long shelf life. Lower storage temperatures enhance shelf life characteristics even further.
- Standby Use
The Float Service Life, or life expectancy under continuous float charge at 20 deg is 5 years for batteries up to 17ah and 10 years for batteries with capacities greater than 26ah.
- Cyclic Use
The number of charge /discharge cycles depends on the capacity taken from the battery (a function of discharge rate and depth of discharge) operating temperature and charging method.
- Design Flexibility
Batteries may be used in series and/or parallel to give you a choice of voltage and capacity
- Compact Design
Power-Sonic Batteries utilise state of the art design, highest grade materials, and a carefully controlled plate making process to provide excellent output per cell.
- Designed-in Reliability
Cutting edge manufacturing and process control combined with strict quality assurance procedures guarantee consistent and dependable performance.
- Wide Operating Temperature Range
Charge: -15 to 50° C
Discharge: -20 to 60° C
Storage: -20° to + 50° C (in fully charged condition)

- Hi ...Will this battery be suitable for my existing Veritas 8 alarm. Had system in 7 years display panel showing battery requires replacement.
Thank you
Hi
The above battery is suitable with the Veritas range.
- I have a Veritas Excel alarm in my house. I need to check that the battery I intend to buy is the correct one. Your website says it's a 12v 7Ah battery in the current model but as my alarm system is 7-13 years old I need to double check. I've lived here for 7 years and the alarm was here then. Possibly installed as long 13 years ago in 1999 when the house was built.
The problem I have is that whenever I need to turn off the power or we have a power cut the alarm almost instantly sounds internally and externally. Is this likely to be just a battery change? Also is there a battery in the bell-box or just in the control box?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Andy
To give yourself a little more room in the control panel, i would use the following (BAT3.4AH) link provided. Or you can still use the BAT7.0AH.

- Thanks, I'll bear that in mind. Will there also be a battery in the bell box outside or just in the control box?
Hi Andy
The external siren has its own built in battery back up.
